San Antonio has deep roots as a military town, with several large installations folded into Joint Base San Antonio, and a big share of local families have a parent in uniform, a veteran in the house or a civilian job tied to the bases. Students there often juggle demanding classes, band or athletics, and part-time jobs. Others are at independent and parochial schools closer in. Parents always join the intro call, help agree the goals and receive regular progress updates. Sessions themselves stay between the student and the mentor.

San Antonio has a good number of colleges and universities, and many local students also head up I-35 to Austin or out to other parts of Texas. Some come home after a hard first year. Scheduling around Texas summers and shift work
San Antonio is on Central time, two hours ahead of Los Angeles. A 5 pm session is 3 pm for the mentor, and evening slots are easy. Summers here are long and hot, so many families shift activities to early morning and late evening; sessions can move with that. For young adults working rotating hospital or base schedules, we can set sessions week by week.
