A planned community under the pines
The Woodlands was laid out in the 1970s as a master-planned town in the forest north of Houston, and it still feels that way: villages, trails, a waterway and a busy town center. Around it, Spring, Kingwood, Tomball and the Conroe area have grown fast, and large employers, including energy companies with big campuses in the north Houston area, have pulled more families north.

Times that work from Central time
The Woodlands is two hours ahead of our team in Los Angeles. A 4:30 pm session after practice is 2:30 pm for the mentor; a 7 pm session for a working young adult is 5 pm. Sessions are 30 or 60 minutes, weekly or several times a week, on a weekly or monthly plan.
Where a mentor helps
Mentors are not tutors, therapists or admissions counselors; they are consistent guides who help people follow through.
